Scuba Diving with Dugongs in Egypt

My first dive in Egypt I decided to search for Dugong's off the coast of Marsa Alam in the Red Sea with help from a local dive guide - Amr Mohamed.

Amr suggested we visit a site called Sheik Malek. This dive was a shore dive with a relatively easy entry. We swam to a sandy patch along the reef where there was a bit of sea grass growing. We waited 20 minutes and this majestic Dugong appear to check us out.

Dugong's are also known as Sea Cows and are related to Manatees.

I shot this video with a Gopro Hero 6 Black with Backscatter red filters.
