Now VR has been having its up and downs over the past few years but it seems to be rather steady when it comes to scuba diving. Now we have reported on VR diving simulators before and the general concessions were that they are fine.. but just go diving for real.

Well a new VR program has been created by Queensland University of technology that will allow people to work online from home alongside marine scientists to classify underwater images from the worlds biggest reef. Dr. Erin Peterson said the information would aid in understanding the Great Barrier Reef’s locations in which hard coral was increasing or decreasing.
