Diving Instructors’ Opinions towards Scuba Diving Anxiety: A Qualitative Research

This research aims to shed light on the diving instructors’ opinions towards scuba diving anxiety of beginners. This study is a qualitative research and data was collected through interviews including open-ended questions. A content analysis is conducted through these data. Content analysis aims to reach concepts and relations to explain collected data. For this reason, first, collected data should be conceptualized, then should be organized in a logical way based on these concepts and descriptive themes should be determined (Yıldırım and Şimşek, 2008). Participants of the research are diving instructors who are working in different diving units, determined by the method of random sampling as one of the sampling methods.
