Researchers have recently studied people who have been diving with a Chicago based non-profit diveheart. This charity helps to build confidence, independence and self-esteem in the lives of people who suffer from a wide range of disabilities, just like the charity we have over here in the UK depthrapy but it's not just for veterans everyone can get involved.

From the research, it’s proven that scuba diving can help people with spinal cord injuries, people that suffer from autism and of course PTSD. The researchers studied divers from people with vision and hearing impairments, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations. Through scuba diving, the studied had noted that everyone that took part in a diveheart dive got physical and emotional benefits so it really is a win all around.
