Icelandic whalers appeared to have killed an endangered blue whale before chopping it up and being sent to Japan. The whale carcass was spotted whilst it was being transported into a shipping port. Rather than respecting the whale, crewmembers were seen climbing all over the whale and having their pictures taken with it.

Blue whales were almost hunted to extinction last century and there said to only be 10,000 to 25,000 left in the entire world, and according to records, this is the first one caught on purpose in the past 50 years. The whaling company responsible for the caught have been also killing endangered fin whales as well.
