Scuba Diving Oil Rig Platforms

Off the coast of Southern California are several oil rigs open to scuba diving. I hopped on a dive boat with other scuba divers to plunge beneath the surface.
Down there, I found a world teaming with life - seals, corals, sponges, and thousands of fish. Oil rigs create an artificial reef that allow corals, sponges, and other organisms to attach, grow, and live upon.

The oil rigs I dove are called Ellen, Elley, and Eureka.
I shot underwater with a GoPro. Drone footage shot with a Phantom 3. Camera is a Nikon D3200.
