Reach Out Volunteers - Scuba Dive - Environmental Conservation Cambodia - Volunteer and scuba dive

For more information visit: http://www.rovolunteers.com

Live on a tropical island just as the villagers do. Surrounded by white sand, palm trees and sunshine you will love the islander lifestyle.
Illegal fishing trawlers and the use of dynamite fishing techniques has destroyed the coral reefs surrounding the island, where the marine life thrived. This has had a major impact on the food source for the island community.
On this project, if you are not a qualified diver we train you. After the first week training you will receive your PADI scuba-diving license and you can now help rejuvenate the reef and the marine life!
You will wake to the sound of the rooster and experience the exhilaration of a bucket shower to start your day! And, you’ll get to make an artificial coral pod and dive with a purpose placing the pod underwater! You monitor the growth of coral and marine life on the pods placed by volunteers before you. The pods stimulate coral growth and provide a sustainable and renewable food supply in the marine eco-system.
You’ll have the opportunity to play volleyball against the locals and teach English to the village children and adults. During the afternoons you help build the village school and secure a year round supply of clean water for the community, so essential to the prevention of early infant death.
After watching a beautiful sunset at night you can have bon-fires on the beach or swim in the bioluminescent water!

Don't worry if you cannot scuba dive, we teach you using highly qualified diving instructors. We supply all the equipment and everything, including the training is included in the price. At the end of the first week you will have an internationally recognized PADI certificate and you can work on the artificial coral reef. If you are already qualified then you can start work day one.
Don’t miss out. Volunteer for the island project!
