Vintage Scuba: Surface Pressure Checkers - S02E09

Long before Submersible Pressure Gauges (SPGs) were invented, divers manually checked tanks before and after dives with a 'pressure checker'. Alec shows several gauges and explains their unique features back when a scuba tanks maximum pressure was 2475 psi (170 bar).

*** In this episode of Vintage Scuba ***
- a US Divers 3000 psi (207 bar) pressure gauge with bleed screw
- a brass gauge when 1960s typical tank pressures were 1800 psi (124 bar)
- unique gauges from US Divers, Nemrod, Voit, Sportways and Healthways
