Hello Lost Ones. On this episode of The Lost Life, I am taking you to Italy, east of Rome to Ponza Island, or Isola Di Ponza in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Here, I spent the weekend exploring the island, stuffing my face full of delicious food, and as featured in this episode -- scuba diving. It was my first time scuba diving, and everything at the start and at the end was spectacular, but there was an instance where I quite nearly died.
After descending about 15 meters, my right ear stopped popping so I couldn't go any further. The pain was intense so I kept trying to pop it, but while doing so and focusing on that, I wasn't breathing enough, and at one point nearly fell unconscious. Luckily I was able to pop my ear and regulate my breathing just in time.
Here is a video starting off with Ponza Diving school on the boat cruising around the crystal clear waters, and then the second half featuring us scuba diving through some ancient Roman caves and the unique volcanic geography of the region.
Have you ever scuba dived or been to Italy?
