Scuba Diving the Prison Paradise of Coiba Island, Panama

Episode 4 - Scuba Diving the Prison Paradise of Coiba Island, Panama

The first real dive stop in my hunt for the perfect place to start my dive shop in Central America.
Isla Coiba is am ex penal colony (think Alcatraz) off the Pacific Coast of Panama, approximately 1 hour boat ride from Santa Catalina village using twin 220HP speedboat.
Although previous reviews had briefed me for relatively cold water, poor visibility and strong currents, diving in September was nothing like this.
Tropical diving at it's best with water warm enough for cocktail diving in board shorts, little to no current and 25-30 meter visibility on the first and third dives.
