Following the journey of a diver can be quite rewarding, or a bit disheartening when watching them perform in the water. An instructor should value each student, and be proud of the accomplishments and acheivements made during training. Her FINAL dive was conducted in 1.5 knot current, and she truly kicked ass!
For Gabriel Pratt, this video shows her dedication and committment to becoming a confident and autonomous diver; this is a humbling experience for us. She has worked very hard to make a difference over the past 4 days, and we will let the results speak for itself. This is a follow up to our video "Instructor View - Teaching Propulsion & Trim" (https://www.facebook.com/getaqui/videos/313451186261174/)
At the end of the video, is the FULL in water DEBRIEF (7 minutes). A dive, regardless of just starting out, being in a pool, or your 2,000 later...should ALWAYS have a proper debrief. YES, ALL DIVES INCLUDING OPEN WATER TRAINING and POOL WORK! It should restate the plan, objectives, what went right/wrong, things to improve, and most importantly be conducted WITHOUT ego. We all make mistakes, and can learn from one another.
