Scuba diving in Yellowstone Lake Spire Field

The spire field is a series of geothermal formations on the bed of Yellowstone Lake in Yellowstone National Park. In 1996 Archaeologists noticed spikes when using side scan sonar. In 1999 geologists dived down and took samples of the spires. The spires are vary rare which makes Yellowstone a great place to dive.
