Scuba Diving the 'Niagara II' on Canada Day - Raw Footage

This is Raw Footage of my Scuba Dive on Canada Day on the Shipwreck of the "Niagara II". It is located in Fathom Five National Marine Park of the Great Lakes/Georgian Bay in Tobermory, Ontario, Canada. Chartered with Diver's Den (www.diversden.ca)

Since this is Raw Footage, I apologize for the uncut, excessive shakiness! In many instances I was re-arranging gear on myself or adjusting things.

The Niagara II is a metal ship, which served as a tanker and then a sandsucker. It was built in England in 1930 and was deliberately sunk by the maritime park in 1999 as a dive site. The ship is 182 Ft in length, and rests at a depth of about 100 Ft.

Conditions that day were a funky, but good down under. 1M~ High waves were besieging the boat from the port side, with strong North-East winds. This caused the mooring line to be VERY agitated. We had arrived first on the mooring that day, and other boats attempted to connect with us, but ended up being too dangerous. Surface water temperature was about 70F, but down at 80 Ft it was close to 40-50F. There was no current, and great visibility which I think was around 60 Ft.
